The bad news is that it's not working out for me to go to Wordstock, as I don't really have the funds & the timing is not quite right, as I need to be working on my visa for Nigeria & preparing for some JT projects in Africa when I get back....(praises through his tears...and y'all didn't even know that I was going in the first place, did you?)
And the good news is (drumroll please......(is 'drumroll' one word or two??):
THE LORD SUPPLIED A NEW COMPUTER FOR ME TODAY!!!!!! I had orginally wanted to sell my old computer before coming here to the States & expected to invest about $1000 into a new computer...however, I wasn't able to sell my old computer, so just left it by faith.--I decided that I'd buy one here & then sell my old one when I get back (since it'll still be sitting there??...I was particularly smart on the day I figured that out....).
Then, funds were looking quite tight recently, as I prepared & raised funds for a new computer, travel costs while here, a ticket back to Nigeria, as well as my new visa....wow!!!
So today when I went out to buy a computer, I asked the Lord that through the power of the Keys, I would find one for $500 or $600....I said it in faith, but just quickly as we were driving off & didn't think more of it...Then after looking in a few places, at a Best Buy I found a Toshiba Satellite that was on clearance, (as they want a new stock) with 1gig SD Ram, Windows Vista, dual core processor, 160 GIG HARDDRIVE, DVD burner for just $750.....WOW!! But the part where it got real good was that with it I got a $150 gift card, which I was able to sell to Richard....so all in all the thing cost $550 (plus tax), but was in the range that I prayed for. TYJ!
He's aweseome, in't He?

Pray for the ppl of Nigeria... B'ham, AL
Nigeria is having their presidential elections tomorrow...the whole process has been going for a while now, but the actual voting of the president is tomorrow...it's already been quite the heated ordeal so far....they voted for their state governers on the 9th & 2moro is the real deal...
Please pray that the Lord will especially keep all His children safe & free from violence (as well as being the cause of any) & that the process will be peaceful by some miracle...tx!
Please also pray that the Lord will keep The Family International there & all the rest of his missionaries, representatives, etc. & anyone doing His work in the Hollow of His hand & under a special league of protective angels....(now you know why I high-tailed out of there--actually, my visa ran out just at the beginning of April & I'm here renewing it (go figure), but the Lord must have timed it this way for a reason... :))
Pls see the first post in the comments section for the BBCs report on this yesterday...

Botanical Beauties..... B'ham, AL
Had a beautiful time at the Botanical Gardens last week....it was a perfect day in the almost literal sense of the word (besides the sweater I wore, but I can think of worse weather...) My wonderful hosts here in Alabama took me there....the kids in the pics are all brothers & sisters (there's actually more of them, but some weren't well & had to stay home with their mom)
I took all the pics unless another name follows the pic (in parenthesised italics)...praise the Lord with me for His glorious creation as you enjoy a small portion of what I did through the pics that follow....

For Anj....
I had promised this post & even though I'm unforgivably late.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANJ! (I need to change this blog to 'Birthday for a Lifetime'...ha!)
But seriously, Anj is a good friend of mine, who's working hard to make a difference in her city & country & all around the world with her words that inspire so many (am I speaking for others, guys? What has she done for you? Let us all know now...)
She's fun-loving, well-rounded (that's not talking about her physique), charismatic & BOLD....a great combination for anyone who wants to change the world.
Please appreciate all that she's done for you, or put a simple B'day greeting (or long B'day greeting, as it suits you) in the comments section below....txsm!
ILY, Anj and am praying (still...since your B'day) that the Lord will give you the desires of your heart this year & also continue to draw your heart closer to His as you do His will...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
Brian

With new friends in Harrow....(Excuse my cheesy grin....)
With new friends in Harrow....(Excuse my cheesy grin....)
Close call... Atlanta, GA
This post could also be titled "Lesson Learned" or "Never Again" or "Stupid Me"....but hey...part of life is taking risks, right?
Lemme tell you what happened...
I had actually rushed to the airport & had made it their like an hour b4 my flight...
I checked in fine (see last post) & was on my way up &....ok, I won't repeat myself...(see last post)
Basically, by the time I got on the computer it was like 5 minutes till when I was supposed to board...I thought, "I'll just post in 10 minutes & then be on my way"...that part went smooth & was actually pretty quick. From there I went on to proceed to the security, but then saw a nice little gift shop (I was like the young prophet & the duty free shop was the old prophet) & thought @ how nice it wld B to get something for my sister. I took about 10 minutes to choose a silly little teddy bear & then had the girl take it back, cause I saw a history book that I wanted for myslef (that's when I should've known it was REALLY going wrong....I had originally stopped for something for someone else, but now I was just thinking about ME!!). She was halfway through changing my buy when I went & changed my mind AGAIN & told her "Actually! I'll just take the Teddy Bear!"--Crazy!
Satisfied with my stupid self (except I didn't know I was stupid yet) I round the corner into the security to see about 4 lines, each 40 ppl deep for the security check in....and it was crawling. My heart completely sank! My flight was closing in ten minutes. I can't quite remember another time when I wanted to kick myself so badly.
I prayed, apologized to the Lord for being so stupid, thought about what my Mom would say (why is it that half the time when our conscience talks, we picture our Mom's face saying it...), claimed every which key promise & verse on miracles & rebuked just about every demon I know...lol...
Oh, yes. Then, just when I tought it couldn't get any worse, they pull me aside when I went through security (after my belt beeped & I already had to go through 2 extra times) to search my bag item by item...I could've screamed! I told the lady "My flight leaves in 20 minutes." She gave me the coldest look, mixed with an expression that told me that checking my bag was the highlight of her day...."I have to check this bag" she said.
After confiscating my deodarant & orange juice (you think I would've learned by now), I was on my way.
I actually deliberately walked past the last security check & ran (yes, I said ran) down to my gate & just managed to board.--Never again!
But all is well now & I'm enjoying the company of my sister, Phebe (who's pregnant with her first kid), my Grandmama & other relatives on this Easter weekend. So.....happy endings...more pics soon!
(pray I don't do anything else stupid--tx!)

of late...
lol...this one's gonna be in a hurry.... London, UK
You'll never guess where I am right now...(my Mom would kill me if she knew I was doing this)...
It's 15 minutes till my flight boards & I'm at Heathrow airport at a cyber cafe....ha! This in itself is a small miracle, as I had wanted to post something while here in London, but never had the time...
I just made it by a miracle to the airport in record time on the bus (single journey for only 2 quid), thought my flight was forty minutes later, but looked at my itinerary on the bus & saw the flight was at 16:20...NOT 16:40 (stupid me).
My check in was smooth as butter (?) & the attendant was happy to take some tracts (sweet thing). Then as I rushed up to go & board (haven't gone through security yet) I see this cyber cafe &....here I am. The last user of this computer gave me her extra five minutes...isn't that sweet?--I didn't even ask...(hmmm....I think she liked me....)
I've got some serious travel/todos ahead of me & I'm gonna need your prayers (see end of post).
But 1st: a couple things I've done so far in London (been here since Friday)
Stayed a night & a day with my sister & family....
Stayed a night with My mom & above said persons at her new home in the country (that last word to be in quotes, but I can't find the key...I so don't have the time to try every key on this keyboard)
Saw old friends from like 10 years back...
Made new friends in Harrow & heard many a crazy tale...
(Ok...it's not letting me upload pics)...Stay tuned for those...
My prayer requests are (I board my flight in 5 minutes, I'd better make this quick):
Come to think of it...I'm gonna go...stay tuned for my prayer requests as well
(Mainly Visa for Nigeria, a new computer, as well as funds for my flight back to Nigeria & money to go to Wordstock IV & needs &.......) Tx tons...I really appreciate it!
Stay tuned.... :) :) :) gotta run....
